Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Häring re-elected to the board of the HFU Tuttlingen Campus Support Association

The general meeting of the HFU Tuttlingen Campus Support Association unanimously elected a new board of directors for the next five years. The term of office of the board team began on April 01, 2023. In addition to Dr.-Ing. Häring, Guido Wolf MdL, Mayor Michael Beck and District Administrator Stefan Bär, Dr. Klaus Irion, Markus Waizenegger and Stefan Helbig were re-elected. New members of the board are Mrs. Kathrin Benzing, of Aesculap AG, and Dr. Rolf Leiber, of Leiber Group GmbH & Co. KG.

The board of directors of Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences at the Tuttlingen campus plays an important role in supporting and promoting the university. The association is made up of members from business, science and society and aims to support the development and strengthening of the Tuttlingen campus. The tasks of the board include taking into account the interests and needs of students, science and industry and initiating and implementing appropriate projects and measures.

"I am grateful for the trust placed in me by being re-elected to the Board of HFU's Tuttlingen Campus Support Association. It is a pleasure for me to continue to be part of this important body in the coming years and to work for the promotion of science and technology in the region. We currently have four students at Häring who are studying at HFU. Four more will start in September in the fields of mechatronics and digital production as well as applied materials science," states Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Häring proudly.

The industrial studies program was launched in cooperation with the Campus Support Association and combines engineering studies with vocational training, offering maximum practical relevance through supplementary industrial modules at the Heuberg industrial campus. Anton Häring KG itself is a founding member and has been committed to the new study model since 2019. In the fall, Häring will offer the industry module "Subsequent digitization of processing machines" for the first time to students who are not employed by Häring.

The industrial degree opens up diverse perspectives, as Jan Gehring, an industrial student at Häring, confirms: "With two technical degrees and the additional industrial modules, I can acquire a broad range of specialist knowledge and thus be employed in diverse areas. At Häring, for example, we can be employed in expert or leadership roles for processes, technologies and procedures, or in project and quality management. There are many different possibilities."
