This year, only 50 individuals worldwide received the award — including just six from Germany. While four honorees came from science and research, only two represented the business sector. That Dr. Häring was among these few economic leaders highlights the exceptional importance of his work in strengthening German-Chinese cooperation.
The award ceremony took place on October 1st, China’s National Day, in the prestigious Great Hall of the People in Beijing. By invitation of President Xi Jinping, the entire Chinese government attended the ceremony. The award was presented to the international recipients by State Commissioner Shen Yiqin.
The Chinese government recognized Dr. Häring for his sustained contributions in several key areas:
- Investments at the Taicang location, which have strengthened confidence in the German-Chinese industrial partnership.
- His outstanding commitment to vocational training, an area in which Anton Häring KG has long been a pioneer, successfully establishing the German dual education model in China.
- His continuous pursuit of innovation and technological excellence, which has made Häring a trusted partner in international collaboration for decades.
Dr. Häring emphasized: “I consider this award a great honor. However, it is not my achievement alone — it is a success shared by our entire team. My sincere thanks go to all our employees — in Germany, in China, and at all our global locations — whose dedication, expertise, and unity have made this possible. This award belongs to all of us.”
With this recognition, Dr. Häring joins an esteemed international group of nearly 2,000 recipients from more than 65 countries, including leading scientists, Nobel laureates, and global business figures.
For Anton Häring KG, this honor is not only a testament to the company’s international success, but also a mark of appreciation for decades of dedicated development work in China. It reaffirms our commitment to continue building bridges between Germany and China — through technology, education, and collaboration on equal terms.
